Horizontal Cracking

Cast in Place Foundation Walls

Horizontal cracks are typically found in concrete block foundation walls which are being pushed or bowed inward by lateral soil pressure. When horizontal cracks occur in concrete foundation walls it is generally not the result of inward bowing caused by soil pressure. The more likely cause is corrosion and expansion of horizontal reinforcing steel which is embedded in the concrete foundation wall.

Floors Reinforced

Beam and Column Replacement

Reinforcement of commercial building floor systems are completed by building shoring and replacing beams and columns.

Leaning or Tilting

Concrete Foundation Walls

Inward leaning and diagonal cracking of a concrete foundation wall is typically caused by a failed connection between the floor framing and the foundation wall. The lack of connection allows the soil pressure to push the wall inward. If the foundation wall movement is excessive it should be moved back to as plumb a position as possible and stabilized.

Push Piers

Foundation Settlement & Stabilization

We designed and developed our own push pier system which can be varied to increase pier capacities to fit almost any application.

Foundation Piering

Stabilize Sinking Buildings

Foundation piers are installed to stabilize and lift sinking buildings. Piering refers to the process of driving a steel pile into the ground which is then used to support the weight of the building and foundation. The loads are transferred to the piles with a bracket which is mounted to the foundation wall.

Foundation Replacement

Severely Deteriorated Foundation Walls

Typically foundation wall replacement is accomplished by setting shoring to hold the building in position while the existing foundation walls are removed and replaced.
